About
This site is a ministry tool of Cross City Church in Columbus, OH and Scott Burns and represents 15+ years of helping people understand and explain the Gospel of Jesus in a Biblically accurate, personalized way. Our hope is to provide a way of speaking the gospel which is clear to the unbeliever and also provides the gospel as the foundational grid for thinking and viewing all things. It is our joy to provide our help to any believer or church around the world in helping them know and speak the gospel more clearly.We are blessed to have many influences that God has used to shape us as leaders and as a church. We have deeply benefited from the ministries of John Piper, Tim Keller, D.A. Carson, David Powlison, Charles Spurgeon, Francis Schaeffer, Dick Lucas, Matt Chandler, Tim Chester, Steve Timmis, Jeff Vanderstelt and many more.
Cross City Church is part of the Evangelical Free Church of America denomination and is locally connected to the Gospel Coalition of Columbus Ohio through which we fellowship with many gospel centered churches in Columbus. We also receive training and assistance in our body life from the Soma network and deeply value to the training and coaching in Scripture fed, Spirit led prayer we have received from the 6:4 Fellowship.
